Do you mean, average rock with a great drummer on the session? J/K
Will this be like the short stint with terrible Freakhouse?

I will take this band over Freak H. anyday. Working with Neal Schon,Marco Mendoza(the guy play's bass with Joey Heredia on a pretty regular basis and has gigged with Al Jareau, Scott Hendersen, Tower Of Power etc. What a crossover from WhiteSnake to Scott Hendersen) and Jeff Soto cannot be all that bad. Soto has a pretty darn good voice by the way, never heard much from him before.

Dij, I was referring to the 1st comment about Freakhouse, not Soul SirkUS.
But you knew that awreddy.
Yeah I knew FuseMan, I was just referring to what Jimi said. Virg Gotta make some money keep the TRUE interests going you know what I mean. Kidng aside, They (SoulSirkus) will be touring quite abit would not mind checking this band out live. Would rather see Virg with this band than with Vai.

Deen Castronovo was originally the drummer in this band, anyone know what happened?
I think this will be the end of a potentially kewl band, the cd was 'marginal' at best, it would have taken a 2nd cd to really see what they could do. Jeff Scott was brought in after Hagar and Michael Anthony left when Van Halen got back together, which also brought in Mendoza.
Deen quit due to being stretched too thin, commitments with Journey, Soul Sirkus and his family, plus he just recently moved to Oregon.
Planet Us was the original band with Anthony and Hagar. After they left, Schon saw Mendoza perform at NAMM and was blown away by his performance and thought let's start a new band and then Soto followed suit. Deen was also not in good health, was being stretched to thin and there was a mutual agreement for him to step down.
Here is an exact quote from Deen posted today.
"Oh My God" Virgil seriously Kick My Butt!! He is the most Unreal drummer I have ever seen. This guy is a studied musician and does thing's on the kit that I have never before witnessed. With this guy Soul Sirkus is going to make some real noise in music. The band could not have chosen a better guy. They just do not come any better than Donati".

Thanks for the info guys. Wow, Deen is a class act, as well as being one of my favorite players ever!
